Kursakanta correspondent Ranjan Raj –On Sunday, India and Nepal conducted joint patrolling with SSB 52nd Battalion personnel and Nepal APF personnel in the border areas. Deputy Commandant C Vivek of C Company Lailoukhar of SSB 52nd Battalion, DSP Upendra Bhasyal of Sorabhag APF Nepal and Inspector Jaikumar Mahato of BOP Nocha APF and other soldiers were present in the joint patrolling operation. Deputy Commandant C Vivek, who was presiding over the meeting, said that from time to time, joint motion operations are conducted with the soldiers of both the countries on the India-Nepal border. Due to which mutual relations and brotherhood are maintained between the armies of both the countries and exchange of information continues. Because the relationship between the two countries is one of bread and butter. To prevent people from the wrong section from using this open border, the soldiers of both the countries know the area with each other under the pretext of patrolling.
Common interests on better coordination between the two armies, joint operations, sharing of intel on narcotics, arms/ammunition smuggling, human trafficking, gold, silver smuggling, unauthorized entry/exit of third country nationals were discussed. .
Possible smuggling routes, forward and backward contacts were also analyzed by the officials. The meeting ended on a high note with both SSB and APF Nepal looking forward to continuing their healthy coordination and friendly relations in the times to come.
